Matt Heist, Broadneck High School’s director of bands, credited North County High School band and orchestra director Theresa Bange with creating the concept for A Night at the Movies. ![]() This year’s event included tunes from “The Lion King,” “Harry Potter,” “The Avengers,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,” “The Incredibles” and “How to Train Your Dragon.”Īlthough the event was free, donations helped offset the costs associated with planning the event. The concert invites all Broadneck feeder schools to perform songs from beloved films. With music and food, the event brought together the community for a night of camaraderie. Students from the Broadneck peninsula got to toot their own horn last Friday during a second annual concert called A Night at the Movies.
